Review the actual label content, scanner and device. Agree on which reference identifies an item and which identifies a location.
A scan is one step in recording a movement.
The full warehouse workflow connects a readable label, an identified item, the intended action and a confirmed inventory update.
Confirm the task.
The screen needs the context for receiving, put-away, picking or transfer. Staff should be able to identify a mismatch before confirming the action.
Save the movement.
The agreed inventory system records the confirmed change. The interface should distinguish a completed update from one still waiting or needing attention.
Handle interruptions and repeats.
Agree on behavior for an unavailable connection or repeated scan. If offline work is required, it needs its own conflict and reconciliation rules; it is not implied by a mobile screen.
Maintain labels and devices.
Name the owner of label formats, printer settings, device support and field mappings. Try the full flow on representative equipment using isolated records.
